Children under 14 years of age are not permitted to travel without being accompanied throughout the journey by a responsible person aged 16 years or over.
Children aged 14 - 15 years old may travel unaccompanied, as from 5am, arriving at their booked destination no later than 10pm. Unaccompanied children will be asked for proof of age or a signed letter of permission from their parent/guardian. (sms or chat based messages are not permissible)

One infant aged 0-2 travels free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Additional infants aged 0-2 must be paid for. If you are travelling with more than 1 infant aged 0-2, please book the additional infant as 'Children (3-15).

Terms & conditions

  • Holders of a Merseytravel Concessionary Pass, plus one accompanying person, qualify for a 20% discount off the Standard Single or Standard Return Adult or Child ticket price for a National Express journey in the UK.
  • Qualifying Merseytravel passes: the Older Person's Travel Passes and the Disabled Person's Travel Pass. NOTE: You will be required to show your valid Merseytravel Pass when boarding the National Express Coach.
  • Bookings must be made at least 3 days before your outward travel date.
  • Discount is available online via the special web page. Discount is not available through National Express ticket machines, call centre or on-board National Express coaches.
  • Discount cannot be used in conjunction with online Restricted fares, promotional fares, or any other offer including discount Coachcards.
  • Discount is not valid on Heathrow Hotel Hoppa, services operated by another coach or bus company, or where accommodation, admission or ferry travel is included within the fare.
  • The offer excludes any booking fees, optional travel insurance and any postal charges that may apply.
  • Discounted tickets can be amended without charge, but are non-refundable.
  • No cash or other alternative will be given.
  • Some high-demand dates (e.g. public holidays) may be excluded from this offer.
  • All tickets are issued and all passengers are carried subject to National Express' Conditions of Carriage, available online and at all National Express outlets.
