Standard seat reservations

For just £2 per person, you can now reserve any seat in the front 5 rows of our coaches.

It’s a small price to pay for your preferred spot and is perfect for making sure you can sit next to your favourite travel partner. Or, if you want the whole family to sit together and know that the little one won't rest until they get the window seat, you can snap it up (avoiding potential drama) fast.

Plus, a number of these seats have extra leg room too. Just book your travel in advance and you can kick back and stretch out in no time.

Premium seat reservations

Travelling on our London to Bristol routes? You can now try our Premium Seat service too!

These services are double deckers and the first 3 rows on the top deck have been designated as Premium Seats which have a table, extra legroom, extra reclining and the best view you can also ensure you sit next to your friends or family members by booking these seats. Also, as with all our seats, you will have USB charging points, air conditioning, onboard toilets and access to our onboard entertainment service including Wi-Fi with VUER.

There is a choice of Premium Seat of either 2 or 4 seats facing each other with a table in between or 2 or 4 seats facing directly out of the front window.

Currently only available on selected services between Bristol and London.

Reserved seat & Premium seating FAQs

Is Seat Reservation available on all services?

Standard

No. At present, you are able to reserve seats on selected services when travelling on the following journeys:

Any direct UK services to London (excluding airports)
London direct to any UK destination (excluding airports)
Any location - Heathrow Airport - Any location
Any location* - Gatwick Airport - Any location*
Any location* - Luton Airport - Any location*
Any location* - Stansted Airport - Any location*

*Excluding Stansted - London - Stansted, Gatwick - London - Gatwick and Luton Airport - London - Luton Airport.

We are planning to roll-out Seat Reservation across all of our services over the next few months.

Premium

No. At present, you will only be able to reserve seats on the Bristol to London services.

Can I only reserve my seat online?

Standard & premium

Yes. Seat reservations will only be available via our website (desktop and mobile versions) when you book your ticket online and selected to receive an e-ticket.

Do I have to reserve my seat at the same time as I book my ticket?

Standard

No. We would recommend you reserve your seat at the same time as you book your journey as seat availability is limited and the earlier you book and reserve a seat the more chance you have of getting our lowest fare and securing a specific seat.

However, as long as you have made your original journey booking via our website (desktop and mobile versions) and selected an e-ticket, you can still reserve a seat up to 24 hours before your coach is due to depart (subject to availability).

You can do this using the “Manage My Booking” feature on our website.

Premium

Yes. You will need to reserve your seat at the same time as you book your journey as availability is limited and the earlier you book and reserve a seat the more chance you have of getting our lowest fares and securing a Premium Seat.

Do I have to pay to reserve a seat?

Standard

Yes. There is a £2 per person per journey charge for reserving a specific seat on the coach. This cost is in addition to the fare paid for the journey.

Premium

Why are we charging for seat reservation?

Standard & premium

We already provide our customers with a guaranteed seat. For just a small additional charge, you can now choose where you sit or book a seat with a table and extra legroom - to guarantee you’ll be seated next to friends or family - just like on a train.

 

How do I reserve a seat?

Standard & premium

As long as Seat Reservation or Premium Seating is available on your chosen journey/service you will be able to select your seat and add this to your booking at the “Add Extras” stage when booking your journey on our website (desktop and mobile versions).

Should you want to add Seat Reservation to your booking at a later date you can do this using the “Manage My Booking” feature on our website. Please note that reserved seats and Premium Seats are subject to availability and these options are only available up to 24 hours before you are due to travel.

 

Can I select and reserve any Premium Seat on the coach?

No. Initially only the seats on the first 3 rows of the upper deck have tables and extra legroom.

How will my reserved seat be identified?

Standard & premium

If you reserve your seat or book your Premium Seat at the same time as you book your ticket the seat number and confirmation will be clearly shown on your e-ticket confirmation you receive as soon as you have completed your payment and booking.

Once you are on board the coach your seat will be clearly shown as reserved using a Reserved sign which is attached to the seatbelt which will be pulled across your chosen seat.

Note for Seat Reservation only: If you add Seat Reservation to your booking at a later date (up to 24 hours before you travel) you will need to refresh your ticket using the “Manage My Booking” feature on our website.

 

Can I amend my seat reservation?

Standard

Yes. Seat reservations can only be amended online using the “Manage My Booking” feature on our website.

Premium

No. Unfortunately you are not able to amend your reservation at this time. You will need to make a new booking online for the service you wish to travel on and then your original ticket can be cancelled and a full refund can be issued (regardless of your fare type) on your previous ticket by calling us on 03717 818181, our lines are open 8am - 10pm, 7 days a week.

What happens if I miss my coach or I want to go on earlier service?

Standard & premium

Seat reservations are non-refundable and our normal terms and conditions apply. Both standard and premium seat reservations cannot be transferred to another service/coach.

What happens if I have to move onto another service if my coach breaks down?

Luggage

You can take two 20kg suitcases and one item of hand luggage per adult on our coaches. However, be sure to check your flight luggage allowance with your airline before your pack.
