Prudential RideLondon 2019

The UK's largest mass-participation cycling event takes place in London on 3 - 4 August 2019 - if you're travelling with us on the day, find out how you can plan for your journey below

The event

Prudential RideLondon is the world’s greatest festival of cycling, with 95,000 cyclists expected to participate in five events on traffic-free roads during the weekend of 3 - 4 August 2019.

To plan for the disruption, we've adjusted our timetables to take into account the road closures and the increase in traffic volume.

Our most affected services are those from Kent, Sussex, Portsmouth & Gatwick Airport to London, which due to road and bridge closures will not be able to access London Victoria between 0800 & 2100 on Sunday 4 August.

How will RideLondon affect my plans?

If you're travelling with us over the RideLondon weekend, we'd advise you plan for your journey in the following ways:

Arriving into London

Affected services: 007, 021, 022, 025, 026, 028, 030 and A3:

If your service is listed above and normally arrives at London Victoria Coach Station, the coach will instead arrive at Vauxhall Bus Station.

All other services will arrive at London Victoria Coach Station as normal.

Vauxhall Bus station is next to Vauxhall Underground station, which connects to the Victoria Line.

We're advising you allow an additional 45 minutes to your plans when arriving into London.

Departing from London

Affected services: 007, 021, 022, 025, 026, 028, 030 and A3:

If your service is listed above and normally departs from London Victoria Coach Station, you'll need to head to Vauxhall Bus Station Stand H instead (all other services will depart from London Victoria Coach Station as usual).

Depending on where in London you're travelling from, you'll need to allow extra time to get to Vauxhall bus station.

Changing services in London

Affected services: 007, 021, 022, 025, 026, 028, 030 and A3:

If your journey requires you to change in London onto the services listed above, you will arrive/depart at/from Vauxhall Bus Station. Customers will need to travel by London Underground to/from Victoria Rail Station, then walk for approx. 10 minutes to/from Victoria Coach Station.

A voucher for London Underground will be issued to customers at Vauxhall/Victoria so their tube travel will be free of charge

On arriving at Victoria Coach Station, customers will be able to catch their connecting service in the normal manner.

If your inbound journey is to London Victoria, but your connecting service departs from Vauxhall Bus Station, you'll be able to alight at an additional stop on Buckingham Palace Road which will allow an easier connection to Vauxhall via London Underground. Staff will be on hand to provide you with travel vouchers for your London Underground journey.
