Tis’ the season to be merry!

With Christmas coming ever closer, the festive season is a great time to get together for a trip to the theatre for a pantomime. We have put together a guide of 10 of the best UK Christmas Pantomimes for 2019 to help you decide which pantomime is best for you.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears - London Palladium (London)

The capital of the UK brings Goldilocks and the three bears onto the London Palladium stage. A beautiful girl named Goldilocks and her Dame Betty Barnum's circus is under threat from a rival circus. All seems lost until 3 bears join the gang...

An all-star cast, consisting of Paul O'Grady, comedian Julian Clary and actor Nigel Havers are sure to give families plenty of entertainment with this classic fairytale.

Dates: 7th December 2019 – 12th January 2020


Snow White - Birmingham Hippodrome (Birmingham)

Birmingham brings the tale of the beautiful Snow White who finds refuge in the home of seven dwarfs.

The main stars, X Factor winner Joe McElderry and Leslie Joseph will be entertaining families across Christmas in Birmingham with Snow White.

Dates: 21st December 2019 – 2nd February 2020


Dick Whittington – Bristol Hippodrome (Bristol)

Join the hero Dick Whittington as he begins his adventure to become mayor of London and defeat the evil Queen rat and her rodent army. 

Soap legend Shane Richie and TV presenter and Jennie Dale star in the popular fairytale where families can enjoy their Christmas with Dick Whittington!

Dates: 7th December 2019 – 5th January 2020


Peter Pan – Liverpool Empire (Liverpool)

Liverpool welcomes the high flying adventures of Peter Pan and the lost boys to the Liverpool Empire for this classic English fairytale.

Leading the main cast is Benidorm's Tony Maudsley and local comedian John Evans will be telling the story of Peter Pan to an audience of families.

Dates: 7th December 2019 – 29th December 2019


Snow White – Manchester Opera House (Manchester)

The enchanting fairytale, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be arriving at Manchester Opera House this Christmas. 

Join Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood, Ben Nickless and Eric Potts as Craig tries to outwit the beautiful Snow White and prove he is the fairest of them all!

Goldilocks and the Three Bears – King’s Theatre (Edinburgh)

Blending the classic fairytale with a circus-set adventure The King's Theatre will be adding a hilarious twist to Goldilocks and the Three Bears in Edinburgh this Christmas.

Comedian Allan Stewart and DJ Grant Stott of BBC Radio Scotland head the cast as well as a return for the much loved Andy Gray

Dates: 30th November 2019 – 19th January 2020

Peter Pan – Southampton Mayflower (Southampton)

The swashbuckling fun of Peter Pan flies into Southampton this Christmas in what will be a high flying adventure for all the family.

Representing the cast is none other than singer, songwriter Marti Pellow as the pesky Captain Hook, Union J's Jaymi Hensley as Peter Pan, Darren Day and even the Grumbleweeds.

Dates: 14th December 2019 – 5th January 2020

Cinderella – New Theatre (Cardiff)

The fairy godmother of all pantomimes comes to the New Theatre in Cardiff this festive season.

The fabulous Gok Wan, Mike Doyle and Ceri Dupree are just a few of the stars in the cast which tell families the story of a prince trying to find the love of his life with the help of a lost glass slipper.

Dates: 7th December 2019 – 12th January 2020

Snow White – The Alhambra Theatre Bradford (Leeds)

Experience the magical Snow White and Seven Dwarfs at The Alhambra Theatre and watch as the evil witch tries to become the fairest in the land by outsmarting the glamorous Snow White and her loyal seven dwarfs. 

Local legend Billy Pierce returns with pop star and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Faye Tozer and the hilarious Paul Chuckle as they transport you to the fairytale forest of Snow White.

Dates: 14th December 2019 – 26th January 2020


Cinderella - Theatre Royal Nottingham (Nottingham)

You will go to the ball if you head Nottingham's Theatre Royal this Christmas!

Coronation Street's Les Dennis and Connor McIntyre join the main cast for the most magical pantomime of the year. 

Dates: 30th November 2019 – 5th January 2020
