Brecon stop move: with immediate effect

With immediate effect all National Express services will use the Bus Station in Brecon which is near Free Street.

First buses at Bristol Bus Station

The 339 and X39 First Somerset and Avon buses will not be going into Bristol Bus Station (Marlborough Street) for the next 10 or 11 months due to floor modifications taking place. The bus stop they will be using is Hm in Lewins Mead, Bristol - a short walk from the bus station. Please note that this only affects First buses. National Express coaches will still be going into the bus station.

Cosham stop: closed until 5 November

Due to resurfacing works, the stop in Cosham will not be served by National Express with immediate effect until Monday 5 November.

Matlock stop move: 4 October

From Thursday 4 October all National Express services will use the new Interchange which is on the other side of the river to the current stop. All Services will depart from Bay 4, Rail Station.

Oulton Broad stop to be closed on listed days

Due to the A1117 bridge in Lowestoft being closed for repair, the stop at Oulton Broad will not be accessible between the following times:

20:00 Saturday 20 October - 06:00 Tuesday 23 October

20:00 Saturday 3 November - 06:00 Tuesday 6 November

20:00 Saturday 17 November - 06:00 Tuesday 20 November

National Express introduces child safety seats

National Express will be the first national scheduled coach company to introduce new child seats for all children, it was announced today. The company is fitting all its coaches with seat belts and booster seats as well as special fittings to allow car seats to be used on the coach for all passengers from newborn babies up to the age of 14 and older. The �1 million investment in the new child friendly measures will be completed across its entire fleet by the end of the year.

National Express launches luxury loo to encourage bathroom brainwaves

Bathrooms can produce the best brainwaves, with 67 percent of people stating they have had a great idea while on the toilet, according to new research from National Express, to mark the launch of its new, unique, luxury coach loo.

Oxford High Street and St Clements stops to reopen: 26 August

Latest information advises us that the High Street and St Clements stops in Oxford, which have been closed since 9 August, will be re-opened late afternoon on Saturday 25 August. National Express services should therefore be able to serve these stops from Sunday 26 August.

Sheffield Meadowhall stop closed for one day: 23 September

National Express services will not serve Sheffield Meadowhall on Sunday 23 September due to the M1 being closed from junctions 32 to 36 as a result of two cooling towers being demolished close by the Tinsley Viaduct.

Great Yarmouth stop move: 3 September - 16 December 2007

The stop at Market Gates will be inaccessible between 3 September and 16 December due to works. National Express services will use Nelson Road coach park (by the cafe) between these dates.

Blackpool Airport stop move: with immediate effect

Due to heightened security at Blackpool Airport, no vehicles - including our coaches - are now allowed to stop outside the terminal buildings. All National Express services stopping at Blackpool Airport will now pick up and set down approximately 100 yards further along the terminal road, at the rear of the Premier Travel Inn.

More seats to Stansted with new 61 seater coaches

National Express has received the first six of its new fleet of longer high capacity coaches, which took to the road at Stansted Airport on Friday.

With 61 seats, 12 more than the standard National Express coach, the tri-axle vehicles are designed to travel on high frequency routes such as the Stansted Airport to London services operating up to every 10 minutes, 24-hours a day. Six vehicles are being rolled out in the first phase of the launch, with 20 expected to be on the road by September 2007. 2000 extra seats will be available every day when the roll-out is complete.

New commuter service between Milton Keynes and Canary Wharf

National Express is launching a new route to Canary Wharf from Milton Keynes, with stops en route in central London. The new service launches on 30 July and includes facilities for commuters such as desks, sockets and wi-fi - and if you travel frequently you can save money by purchasing a season ticket.

Warwick stop move: 5 - 17 August 2007

From Sunday 5 August until Friday 17 August, the stop at Puckerings Lane will be inaccessible due to work on replacing the sewers. All National Express services will use the stop at Market Street.

Eastbourne (Rail Station) stop move: 16 - 19 August 2007
