Once you've made it to 10 bookings on a qualifying route (take a look at our list of qualifying routes), we'll send you a unique free journey code and instructions on how to book – it’s that simple!

Frequently asked questions

Can I redeem my free journey on a different route than the one I normally travel on?

Free journeys can only be used on one of the qualifying routes.

Will my free journey be a single or return ticket?

All free journeys are 1 standard return ticket for 1 adult.

I entered the wrong email address when making a booking, will this still count towards my free journey?

No - only bookings made using the correct email address that you registered with will qualify.

What do I do if I change my email address?

If you change your email address, you will need to re-register for the free journey offer using your new email address. Journeys made using the old email address cannot be transferred.

I haven’t received my monthly statement?

Monthly statements are sent on or around the 1st of every month. If you haven’t received yours please contact us. We will be happy to help.

The statement I have received is incorrect?

Bookings are only counted towards the free journey offer once you have completed your journey. If you have booked a journey for travel in the future then this won’t be counted until you have travelled and completed your journey. If you think your statement is incorrect, please call us and our advisers will be happy to help.

I haven’t received my free journey?

Your free journey will be sent to you via your registered email address up to one week after you have completed your 10th qualifying journey. If you haven’t received yours please contact us. We will be happy to help.

I'm having trouble booking or redeeming my free journey online, what can I do?

My route isn't on the list, why can’t mine be included?

Unfortunately at present these are the only routes we are able to offer as part of the promotion.

If I need to amend my free journey booking, will I have to pay?

You can amend your free journey but a £5 amendment fee will apply.

If I amend my date of travel will this still count towards my free journey offer?

Yes, however only completed journeys will count, so if you haven’t travelled when the current statement is calculated, that ticket will be counted in the next statement period

  1. To be eligible for the free journey offer, customers must sign up online with a valid email address.
  2. By signing up for the free journey offer, you are agreeing to receive offers and news from National Express to the email address provided.
  3. Only bookings made online using the email address provided when signing up will be counted
  4. Bookings made with a different or invalid email address won’t be counted and bookings cannot be transferred between email addresses.
  5. Only bookings made on these selected services will qualify.
  6. Routes were added to the free journey offer on the following dates. Bookings made on these routes before they were included in the offer do not count.

  9. For every 10 qualifying bookings you will receive 1 free standard return journey, for 1 adult.
  10. Progress statements will be issued once a month to the email address provided when signing up.
  11. Free journey vouchers will be sent out up to one week after you have completed your 10th qualifying booking. Terms and conditions apply. See ‘Free journey terms and conditions’ below for more details.
  12. Your free journey reward does not count as a qualifying booking towards your next 10 qualifying bookings and subsequent free journey.
  13. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer, any third party operated service, Eurolines, Kings Ferry or Multiride.
  14. All fares are subject to National Express Conditions of Carriage
  15. We have the right to amend or withdraw this offer at any time.

 

Free journey terms and conditions

  1. This offer gives you 1 free return journey on selected National Express services and is limited to 1 adult passenger.
  2. The free journey must be booked online and will be sent as an e-ticket only. 
  3. This offer excludes travel on bank holidays, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. 
  4. Your free journey must be booked within 30 days of receipt of free journey email (please refer to your email for specific booking window date). 
  5. If you need to make an amendment to your free journey a £5 amendment fee will apply. 
  6. No cash or other alternative will be given. 
  7. Journeys as part of an event package or one of our festival or event services are excluded from this promotion.
  8. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer, any third party operated service, Eurolines or Kings Ferry.
