Spice up your life at Wembley

Published 27 March 2019

The most anticipated reunion of the decade is coming to Wembley

So, here’s the story from A-Z…

It's the news every Spice Girls fan has been waiting for – Baby, Ginger, Scary, and Sporty WANNABE back together on tour - Say you’ll be there, Posh?! The girls revolutionised the 90’s pop landscape, making history as the best-selling female group of all time. And now, they’re ready to spice up our lives once again as they reunite on stages all across the UK, with the tour ending with three nights at Wembley Stadium connected by EE.

It may have been 23 years since the girls first started swinging it, shaking it, moving it, and making it into the charts, but their catchy songs and girl power legacy lives on! The internet could barely handle the news of their return and it sure caused quite a stir, so we’re here to tell you what you want, what you really, really want to know…

Never give up on the good times...

And the Spice Girls certainly didn’t. The last time they reunited on stage was at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics - an absolute showstopper of a performance as five London black cabs pulled up to the stage, each representing a different Spice Girl personality.

The girls performed a mix of two of their most iconic anthems, Spice up your Life and Wannabe, much to the audience’s excitement. So, it’s no wonder their first batch of reunion tour tickets sold out within minutes!

If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends

The Spice Girls are not only sharing the girl power love through their reunion tour, but they are also sharing their stage. The support act for the reunion tour is none other than Jess Glynne, and what a match it is!

Jess has had more UK number ones than any other British female solo artist, and her songs encourage the same independence and empowerment messages as the Spice Girls. Jess also attracts generation next, engaging fans from a younger age group making the tour appeal to all.

Let love lead the way

The Spice merchandise influx has already begun for the big reunion tour, but one range is particularly notable. The girls have designed an exclusive clothing range to support Power Up, a programme within Comic Relief's Gender Justice pillar. Proceeds will fund projects to champion equality for women and girls in the UK.

This topic encompasses everything the girls stand for and is the heart of the band’s messages - every boy and every girl. The range is chic yet minimalistic, boasting the slogan #IWannaBeASpiceGirl… definitely the dream of any 90’s child. We can’t wait to get our hands on one!
