Packing tips for the savvy traveller

You’ve already chosen the savvy way to travel by booking a coach with us, but did you know you can travel even smarter? We all know that a well-packed bag (Or in our case bags!) can transform a trip away, so we’ve put together our top packing tips to help you make the most of your trip!

1. Use a packing checklist

Become the most organised person you know and create a packing checklist to ensure you don’t forget any essentials. Here’s a quick start:

  • Travel Documents: Passport (DO NOT FORGET), tickets, travel insurance.
  • Clothing: Underwear (Essential!), socks, comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate outfits.
  • Toiletries: Toothbrush, toothpaste, travel-size shampoo, conditioner, sun cream.
  • Tech Gear: Phone, charger, power bank, headphones. (Make the most of our charging ports and free Wi-Fi)
  • Miscellaneous: Sunglasses, reusable water bottle, snacks, a good book (We’d recommend One Day…).
2. Pack light, pack smart

One of the golden rules of savvy travelling is to pack light. Choose versatile clothing that can be mixed and matched to all types of outfits. Choose lightweight, wrinkle-resistant fabrics, because who’s got space for an iron? Consider packing a few key accessories to change up your look too. Remember, less is more!

3. Stop, drop and roll… your clothes

Maximise your suitcase space by rolling your clothes instead of folding them. This technique not only saves space but also helps reduce wrinkles. Use packing cubes to keep everything organised and easily accessible. Trust us, you’ll never fold your clothes again!

4. Stay connected

Make sure to pack chargers in your hand luggage. Our modern fleet of coaches offer free Wi-Fi and charging ports on many of our services. So you can stay connected, catch up on gossip with friends, or stream your favourite shows while on the go. Has somebody just got a text?

5. Comfort is key

Our coaches are already the epitome of comfort! But we know long journeys can be tiring, so if you want to take it up a few notches then pack a few comfort items. A travel pillow, a lightweight blanket, and an eye mask are always a fan favourite. Don’t forget a pair of cosy socks and a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated too.
