Festival season is almost here...

Published 29/5/2019

The UK is home to some of the most amazing festivals in the world, including Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, and Latitude. With an unbeatable mix of music, atmosphere and the great outdoors, we’re sure many of you will be counting down the days until you get there!

Make sure you are organised and have everything you will need with our ultimate festival checklist...

1) Book your coach

Our coaches go direct to the biggest festivals in the UK and Europe, including Glastonbury, We Are FSTVL, Download, Boomtown Fair, and Reading and Leeds.

It’s the simplest way to get to your festival, as we’ll take you straight there with minimal fuss. We offer generous luggage allowance and comfortable seats with plenty of legroom. Plus, travelling with other festival-goers means you can start enjoying the whole experience earlier.

Can't see services to a festival you're going to? Did you know we also offer on-demand coach services? Check out neon today and you could be booking a coach to your event with ease!

2) Save money on group travel

If you’re going to a festival with a group of friends, you can save a whopping 25% when travelling with three or more other adults. Simply book your tickets at least three days in advance to save 25% off standard fares.

You can find out more at our group travel page.

3) Packing essentials

There’s so much you need to take with you, it’s often hard to know where to begin. Take a look at our packing essentials list to get you started:

  • Ticket, original ID documents, and money - the three most important things!
  • It may be nearly summer but with the unpredictable British weather, it’s a good idea to pack your rain gear - waterproof coat, wellies, and lots of extra socks.
  • Quick drying clothes - steer clear of too much denim and opt for cotton or jersey.
  • If you're camping, make sure you’ve got your tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, and pillow. Earplugs are always handy so you can get some sleep and recharge your batteries.
  • Get a little personal care kit packed with any medication, first aid essentials, sun cream, anti-bacterial hand gel, and as many wet wipes as you can fit. We guarantee you’ll need them!
  • Phone charger and phone battery pack.
  • A torch. You’ll be glad you packed it when searching for your tent at night.
  • A reusable water bottle to keep yourself hydrated.
  • Bags for dirty clothes and rubbish.

Don't forget, when it’s time to go home, it’s really important to remember to ‘leave no trace’. Pack up your tent and dispose of all your rubbish. If there is anything you don’t want to take home like a broken tent or sleeping bag, ask event staff where the drop-off point is for unwanted equipment.
