Abroad, but make it British: Five UK travel dupes worth the coach ride

Let’s be honest: airport queues, luggage weight limits, and paying £7 for a bottle of water at Departures aren’t exactly everyone’s idea of a holiday. Fortunately, this summer, you can skip the passport panic and still feel a world away, all without ever leaving the UK.

From beach escapes to waterside strolls and city breaks steeped in history, our coaches will get you there in comfort, without the drama (or delays).

🏖️ Newquay = Bondi Beach, Australia

Craving sunshine, sea, and that breezy, beach-town vibe? Look no further than Newquay, Cornwall’s laid-back coastal gem. Whether you're catching waves, sipping something cold above Fistral Beach, or just trying to eat chips before a seagull intercepts, this is the UK at its most summery.

There’s surf culture, sandy toes, and sunsets that don’t need a filter. It’s giving Bondi Beach but with Cornish ice cream.

Get there to Newquay with National Express: Avoid the long drive and arrive fresh-faced, ready to hit the beach instead of the brakes.

🎓 Oxford = Florence, Italy

Oxford

Few cities wear their history as gracefully as Oxford. Wander cobbled lanes, marvel at ancient spires, and pretend you’ve read all the books in the Bodleian. This is England’s answer to Florence, just with more punting and slightly less gelato.

Add in riverside picnics, tucked-away bookshops, and architecture that makes even a coffee run feel like a period drama, and you’ve got yourself a perfect summer escape.

Take the coach to Oxford: We can whisk you into the city centre, giving you more time to soak up the scenery (and maybe the sun).

🏰 York = Prague, Czechia

York

With its towering Minster, medieval streets and walls, and a healthy obsession with tea rooms, York is basically the UK’s answer to a European fairytale city with no magic passport stamp required.

Whether you're exploring The Shambles (yes, that’s a real place), strolling the city walls, or discovering why Vikings loved it here so much, York makes a strong case for staying local.

Hop on a coach to York: We even drop you right in the middle of the charm, no train transfers or treasure maps needed.

🚤 Little Venice, London = Venice, Italy

Little Venice, London

Tucked away in northwest London, Little Venice offers tranquil canals, bobbing houseboats, and waterside cafés, all without having to navigate a foreign metro system.

Take a walk along the towpath, hop on a canal boat to Camden, or sit with a coffee and watch the water drift lazily by. It’s all very... European, but with better tea.

London calling? Our coaches get you into the capital smoothly, without the price tag of peak-time trains.

🏞️ Edinburgh = Vienna, Austria

Edinburgh

If you’re craving grandeur with a side of haggis, Edinburgh is the city break you didn’t know you needed this summer. Towering castles, sweeping views from Arthur’s Seat, and streets that make you feel like you’ve wandered onto the set of a historical epic.

It’s sophisticated, scenic, full of summer festivals and yes, the bagpipes will grow on you.

Take the coach to Edinburgh: It’s a relaxed, cost-effective way to reach Scotland’s capital without trading comfort for adventure.
