Children under 14 years of age are not permitted to travel without being accompanied throughout the journey by a responsible person aged 16 years or over.
Children aged 14 - 15 years old may travel unaccompanied, as from 5am, arriving at their booked destination no later than 10pm. Unaccompanied children will be asked for proof of age or a signed letter of permission from their parent/guardian. (sms or chat based messages are not permissible)

One infant aged 0-2 travels free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Additional infants aged 0-2 must be paid for. If you are travelling with more than 1 infant aged 0-2, please book the additional infant as 'Children (3-15).

How to get to the University of Warwick from the airport

Take the coach from the airport to Coventry Pool Meadow and friendly University of Warwick Welcome Helpers will be available to meet you when you arrive.

If you are living on campus, pre-book your free coach transfer service to take you straight to the University of Warwick campus and your accommodation block. Coaches will be leaving Pool Meadow at various times throughout the day, scheduled to coincide with arrivals from National Express coach services from Heathrow. This service must be pre-booked, you will receive a booking link via email. Step 1 - Take the coach to from the airport to Coventry with 20% off

Board your coach at Heathrow Airport and travel to Coventry Pool Meadow Bus Station for the following:

Travel between 25^th and 28^th of September 2025 to coincide with the University’s Arrivals period (bookings can also be made 29th August until 16th October 2025 inclusive, but we don’t recommend arriving outside of the arrivals period)
Frequent, reliable and safe services.
Most coaches equipped with plug sockets, air conditioning, comfortable seats and lots of luggage space.

Step 2 – Friendly University of Warwick Welcome Helpers will meet the coach when it arrives in Coventry, from 09:45-00:45 each day during the 4-day arrivals period (25^th-28^th September)

If you have pre-booked the free transfer to campus, this will take you straight to campus and your accommodation.

Alternatively you can take the local bus service from Coventry to University of Warwick, simply hop on the fast service 12X National Express Coventry Bus Service. You can pay as you board the bus. Or use a taxi. The Welcome Helpers will be on hand to assist!

Terms & conditions

Only valid for travel from Heathrow Airport to Coventry Pool Meadow Bus Station if available.
Only valid for travel from 29 August until 16 October 2025 inclusive
Only valid for students arriving in the UK who will be starting a course at the University of Warwick in 2025.
Must book a minimum of 3 days prior to travelling.
Tickets are valid on Standard and Fully Flexible Fare types.
If a ticket is amended an amendment fee may apply.
Any extras such as luggage or seat reservations are not included in the discount. If required, you will need to add these to the booking and pay for them by card on the payment screen. The National Express luggage allowance is;
1. You may store luggage in the hold of the coach, free of charge, 1 large suitcase or rucksack each measuring no more than 75cmx50cmx32cm and weighing no more than 20 kg.
2. Subject to availability only - 2 medium suitcases may be carried each measuring no more than 70cm x 45cm x 30cm and weighing no more than 20kg, free of charge, instead of 1 large suitcase.
