The promoter of this prize draw is National Express Limited of National Express House, Birmingham Coach Station, Mill Lane, Digbeth, Birmingham, England B5 6DD (“National Express”).
This prize draw is open to all UK residents aged 18 years or over who are enrolled at a university in the United Kingdom and who have a valid ‘.ac.uk’ email address, except for employees of National Express and its group companies, their families and agents or any third party directly associated with administration of this prize draw.
The prize draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
To enter this prize draw, visit the nationalexpress.com/dig-in webpage and enter your valid ‘.ac.uk’ email address. Shortly after entering your email address, you will be sent an email confirming whether you have won one of the prizes.
There is a limit of one prize draw entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person and/or by the same person using multiple email addresses will not be accepted and joint entries are not permitted.
The prize draw runs from 1 September 2023 and closes at midnight on 15 December 2023 (the “Closing Date”). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be valid.
Prizes will be awarded by a computer process, which will randomly allocate prizes to email addresses on receipt.
The prizes comprise a total of:
- 1,000 free return travel voucher codes, entitling the winner to return travel on one of our scheduled coach services in the United Kingdom, excluding open returns and fully flexible tickets, at no cost (a “Free Travel Voucher”); and
- 188,000 discounted travel voucher codes, comprising:
  - 94,000 discount travel codes entitling the winner to a 75% discount off their booking for their first one-way or return travel on one of our scheduled coach services in the United Kingdom, excluding open return tickets and fully flexible tickets; and
  - 94,000 discount travel codes entitling the winner to a 50% discount off their booking for their first one-way or return travel on one of our scheduled coach services in the United Kingdom, excluding open return tickets and fully flexible tickets
    (a “Discount Voucher”).
All tickets are subject to availability, and are issued and all passengers are carried subject to National Express’ General Conditions of Carriage available at https://www.nationalexpress.com/en/help/conditions-of-carriage.
Winners will receive either a Free Travel Voucher or a Discount Voucher.
The winner will be notified by email using the details provided by the entrant at the time of entry, and will be provided with a unique code which can be redeemed by them when making a valid booking with National Express.
Free Travel Vouchers and Discount Vouchers will only be valid for travel which is:
- taken between 00:01 hours on 4 September 2023 and 23:59 hours on 18 December 2023 (the “Validity Period”); and
- which is booked at least 72 hours in advance of travel.
If a winner makes a booking using a Discount Voucher within the Validity Period then they will be entitled to receive a further unique code entitling them to a 50% discount off a booking for one-way or return travel on one of our scheduled coach services in the United Kingdom taken between 00:01 hours on 2 January 2024 and 23:59 hours on 22 March 2024 (subject to availability and bookings being made at least 72 hours in advance of travel).
A Free Travel Voucher or a Discount Voucher entitles the winner to make one booking for one individual with National Express.
The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
National Express reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond National Express’s control make it necessary to do so.
The decision of National Express regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
National Express must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, National Express will send the surname and county of the prize winner and, if applicable a copy of their winning entry, to anyone who emails prizedraw@nationalexpress.com or writes to National Express at National Express House, Birmingham Coach Station, Mill Lane, Digbeth, Birmingham, England B5 6DD (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one (1) month of the Closing Date. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please notify prizedraw@nationalexpress.com. In such circumstances, National Express must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
By entering the prize draw, you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. National Express reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
National Express reserves the right to hold, void, cancel, suspend or amend the prize draw, Free Travel Vouchers or Discount Vouchers where it becomes necessary to do so.
Insofar as is permitted by law, National Express, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of National Express, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

The terms and conditions and this prize draw are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If any entrant to this prize draw wishes to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts of England and Wales.
