Bah Hum-blog! Top non-Christmas activities to do this winter

Shake up the festive season with these alternative ideas

Bright lights, busy streets and a big dent in your wallet. It must be Christmas time again!

Now, we know some people countdown all year in anticipation for Christmas, but a few of us despise this time of year. Fear not, you niche folk who would do anything to escape the ‘holiday cheer’, as we have created a lovely list of things to do to that do not involve having to be ‘merry’, ‘festive’ or ‘holly jolly’ just for you.

Enjoy our list of top non-Christmas activities to do this winter – we won’t judge you for being a Grinch!

Release some Christmas stress in Birmingham

Number 1 on our list is a perfect revenge tale on those tacky Christmas decorations!

The Rage Rooms, located at Birmingham’s Grange Live Gaming give you a chance to detox from the cheer of the Birmingham Christmas markets. This reasonably priced experience allows you to smash and break plenty of household items. Release some of your built-up anti-Christmas rage!

Say 'Humbug!' in Peterborough

Number 2 takes us to Peterborough for the ultimate ‘Bah Humbug’ event this year.

The Bah Humbug! Fest packs more than 40 rides and inflatables into a great venue, alongside live music and not a bauble in sight! We cannot recommend this one enough, from 20-30 December 2018, it’s the perfect time to escape the seasonal spirit and take the family to an epic event!

Be sure to head over to the Bah Humbug Fest website for more details on how you can enjoy this marvellous anti-Xmas festival.

Share the contempt in London

Now the last one on our list is the original when it comes to 'Bah Humbug' culture.

Children’s author Michael Rosen is again putting his modern twist on the classic tale ‘A Christmas Carol’. Okay, so this one is still kind of Christmassy, but it means your kids can enjoy some cheer while you can relate to Scrooge!

This live show will be held at the Royal Albert Hall in London on the 20 December 2018. This live reading will be perfect for those aged between 7-11, but be quick as this will sell out fast, so book you both your coach and event tickets now!

So there we have it, a little list of things to help you escape the smell of tinsel. However you choose to spend your holidays, we hope you have a merry one!
