Tis’ the season to be merry!

With Christmas coming ever closer, the festive season is a great time to get together for a trip to the theatre for a pantomime. We have put together a guide of 10 of the best UK Christmas Pantomimes for 2021 to help you decide which pantomime is best for you.

Pantoland - London Palladium (London)

The capital of the UK is taking you on a magical trip to Pantoland with famous entertainer Donny Osmond and pantomime veteran Julian Clary. Celebrating the very best of pantomime the show will have comedy in abundance, jaw dropping dance routines from The Tiller Girls and amazing special effects.

Sleeping Beauty – Hope Street Theatre (Liverpool)

Liverpool welcomes the magical world of Sleeping Beauty to the Hope Street Theatre for this classic English fairytale.

Leading the main cast is Liverpool Live Radio's Aaron Hayes and Liverpool star Bryan Comer will be telling the story to an audience of families.

Dates: 16th December 2021 – 30th December 2021

 

Aladdin – Manchester Opera House (Manchester)

The enchanting Aladdin will be arriving at Manchester Opera House this Christmas. Expect jaw dropping special effects, tonnes of comedy and genie-us song and dance.

Join popstar Alexandra BurkeBen Nickless and Ceri Dupree on a magical carpet ride round Manchester.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears - Birmingham Hippodrome (Birmingham)

The story of the Goldilocks and the Three Bears with a circus twist! Join Goldilocks and Dame Betty Barnum as their circus is at risk from an evil ringmaster at a rival circus.

Join Jason Donovan as he makes his panto debut as the ringmaster alongside brummy fan favourite Matt Slack in this magical adventure.

Dates: 18st December 2021 – 30th January 2022

 

Sleeping Beauty – King’s Theatre (Edinburgh)

Another instalment of Sleeping Beauty this year but with an Edinburgh twist.

Comedian Allan Stewart and DJ Grant Stott of BBC Radio Scotland head the cast as well as a return for the much loved Jordan Young.

Dates: 27th November 2021 – 16th January 2022

Cinderella – Southampton Mayflower (Southampton)

The most famous of fairy tales will transform the Southampton Mayflower this Christmas in what will be a magical adventure for all the family.

Representing the cast is none other than Strictly Come Dancing's very own Craig Revel Horwood as the Wicked Witch, Debbie McGhee as the Fairy Godmother and Richard Cadell & Sooty.

Dates: 10th December 2021 – 2nd January 2022

Aladdin – New Theatre (Cardiff)

The pantomime that's so good it comes with three wishes comes to the New Theatre in Cardiff this festive season.

The hilarious Paul Chuckle joins Gareth Gates and Gareth Thomas  in the cast which tell families the story of a pauper turned prince trying to find the love of his life with the help of his magical genie.

Dates: 4th December 2021 – 2nd January 2022

Snow White – Bristol Hippodrome (Bristol)

Join Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on their adventure brought to life with jaw-dropping dance, hilarious comedy and super special effects.

TV judge Rob Rinder and panto legend Leslie Joseph star in the popular fairytale as the Man in the Mirror and the Wicked Witch.

Dates: 4th December 2021 – 2nd January 2022

 

Sleeping Beauty – The Alhambra Theatre Bradford (Leeds)

Experience the magical Sleeping Beauty at The Alhambra Theatre and watch as the evil witch tries to become the fairest in the land by cursing a beautiful princess who needs to be saved by a prince

Local legend Billy Pierce returns with TV Doctor Dr Ranj as the royal doctor, who is overseeing medical proceedings in the Royal Household.

Robin Hood - Theatre Royal Nottingham (Nottingham)

What other pantomime would be taking place at the famous Nottingham's Theatre Royal this Christmas! Join the high flying Robin Hood as he sets off to save the beautiful Maid Marion and outwit the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Soap Star Tristan Gemmil and Lucy May Barker join the main cast for the most magical pantomime of the year.
