• Q2.What coach services does National Express operate?
• A. We have a large, integrated network of scheduled services carrying around 19 million passengers each year. This made up of:
  

  • The only scheduled national coach network and serves more than 1,000 destinations across the UK
  • Services to the UK’s main airports
  • European coach services
  • Transport to major venues across the UK, and for major events such as festivals, concerts and sporting fixtures
• Q3.What train services does National Express operate?
• A. We operate a range of commuter, intercity and rural passenger train services:
  

  • National Express East Anglia provides widespread and reliable train services for London and the East of England (http://www.nationalexpresseastanglia.com/train_times/stations_route_map)
  • Stansted Express, running into London Liverpool Street from London Stansted Airport
  • c2c, the London commuter service running from South Essex towns into London Fenchurch Street (http://www.c2c-online.co.uk/our_services/stations_and_route_map)
• Q4.What bus services does National Express run?
• A. We run high-frequency urban bus services in Birmingham and the West Midlands, the largest single area bus network in the UK outside London.
  We also operate buses in Dundee, Scotland; and the Travel Midland Metro light-rail service (tram) in Birmingham.
• Q5.How can I collect tickets if I book online?
• A. There are four ways to receive your tickets when you book online:
  

  • e-Ticket - print your travel ticket online in a matter of minutes. This is available for all coach services
  • m-Ticket - have your coach ticket sent to your mobile phone - no paper ticket required
  • Postal delivery - tickets can be posted to the UK, Europe and the rest of the world (available for travel tickets booked 7 or more days in advance). A booking fee may be payable for posted tickets. Please check when booking.
  • Ticket collection - collect your travel ticket at a local agent or station
• Q6.What luggage can I take on my journey?
• A. On coach journeys you may take two pieces of luggage that weigh no more than 20kg. These will be placed in the hold for you by your driver and stored securely throughout your journey. Folded buggies and prams will also be stored. You may carry one piece of hand luggage onto the coach with you.
  On train journeys you may take two larger items of luggage and one piece of hand luggage onto the train with you. Folded buggies and prams are also allowed. Please ensure that all luggage is stowed safely where you are able to keep an eye on it.
• Q7.Do you provide assistance with travel?
• A. We can provide assistance with travel on our coach and rail services, including travelling in a wheelchair, though please note that not all of our coach services are yet fully accessible. To book assistance with travel please contact us in advance – further details are given below:

  Buses:
  All of our buses in Dundee and most of those in the West Midlands are now low floor and have specially adapted wheelchair ramps and spaces.
• Q8.Can I use Oyster cards on your services
• Oyster cards can be used on our C2C and some East Anglia services. They are also sold by our ticket offices in conjunction with coach tickets for services to London

  • Oyster PAYG is not valid at any other c2c stations and if Oyster PAYG is attempted to be used at non-valid stations, you may be subject to a penalty fare of £20.00.
  • Oyster PAYG cards can be purchased and topped-up along the c2c route at the stations marked with '*' above.
  • Remember to touch in and touch out. Don't pay more than you have to by forgetting to both touch in and touch out, otherwise you will pay the default charge of £4 or £5 if using Fenchurch Street.

  Using your Oyster PAYG on East Anglia Oyster Pay As You Go (PAYG) is valid for travel on the following National Express East Anglia journeys

  • Liverpool Street to Walthamstow Central
  • Liverpool Street/ Stratford to Tottenham Hale
  • Liverpool Street to Seven Sisters
  • Liverpool Street to Stratford

   

  Inclulding the following stations:
  Bethnal Green, Cambridge Heath, London Fields, Hackney Downs, Rectory Road, Stoke Newington, Stamford Hill, Clapton, St James Street, Walthamstow Central, Stratford and Tottenham Hale
  Oyster Card validators (funded by TfL) will be provided at these stations, and passengers using PAYG must touch in or out as appropriate.

   

  Oyster cards can be used on all Travel London buses operated on behalf of Transport for London.
• Q9.Do children travel for free?
• Yes, children under five years of age may accompany a fare-paying customer free of charge on our rail services. However, they may only occupy a seat that is not required by another fare-paying customer. On our bus services children under 5 may travel free of charge if they are accompanied. On our coach services children under three may travel free of charge with an accompanying adult.
