The Kills, Carling Academy, Birmingham
The Kills are a boy-girl duo who have received considerable acclaim over the years and they tour Britain in support of their new album Midnight Boom.
With their debut album Keep on your Mean Side in 2003, The Kills showcased their distinctive guitar and drum-based sound, supported by Alsion Mosshart's unique vocals.
Originally renowned for a stripped-down grungy sound, the Kills have been touted as "perhaps one of the most innovative [bands] sonically of the last five years" by Advance Titan.
Midnight Boom continues with their established formula, which is described by the online resource as merging proto-punk and the blues of Muddy Waters.
The tension between the duo is also said to create a prominent energy on-stage, which will surely captivate fans at the Carling Academy in Birmingham.
