Brit Xplorer Terms & Conditions

These are in addition to National Express General Conditions of Carriage.

*Network - The entirety of all services (a journey from A-B) operated by a coach company

  • Brit Xplorer passes are sold subject to the terms and conditions below and the general conditions of carriage of National Express. National Express is the organisation responsible for all Brit Xplorer sales, operations and matters of customer service.
  • The Brit Xplorer pass is valid for travel on 7, 14 or 28 consecutive days only
  • Provided the Brit Xplorer pass has been validated and bears the holder's name, expiry date and serial number, it may be used for unlimited access on the National Express, National Express Airport and Hotel Hoppa network. The Brit Xplorer pass is not valid on any National Express Europe or Eurolines Service, Scottish Citylink service, or special services such as those operating to festivals, events or shows.
  • The Brit Xplorer pass allows the holder to travel on those services in paragraph 3 without a reserved travel ticket. Brit Xplorer pass holders may reserve travel for a reservation fee of £1.50. The National Express Travel Shops at these locations: Heathrow Airport Central Bus Station, Heathrow Airport Terminal 1 Arrivals, Heathrow Airport Terminal 4 Arrivals, Southampton Harbour Parade Coach Station, Oxford Gloucester Green Bus Station, Manchester Central Coach Station, Birmingham Coach Station, Stansted Airport Coach Station, Gatwick Airport South Terminal Arrivals, Gatwick Airport North Terminal Arrivals, Dover Arrivals Hall Eastern Docks, Cardiff Wood Street Bus Station, Leeds Dyer Street Coach Station, Liverpool Norton Street Coach Station, Nottingham Broadmarsh Bus Station.
  • If a service is full to capacity a Brit Xplorer pass holder will not be able to travel, unless travel has been reserved in advance. National Express cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience caused by a pass holder unable to board a service.
  • Travel is not permitted prior to the pass start date or past the expiry date as indicated on the Brit Xplorer pass.
  • Provided the start date has not yet passed, then Brit Xplorer pass holders may claim a full refund. If the pass start date has commenced, but a refund is requested a letter detailing the reasons for must be sent with the pass to the address below and a percentage of the pass price based on days remaining will be refunded. However, this is at the discretion of the National Express Customer Relations Department. A proportionate refund will not be unreasonably upheld. This supersedes the National Express General Conditions of carriage.

  • If a Brit Xplorer pass has been purchased through a third party such as STA Travel, Travel Cuts etc, the purchaser should refer directly to their terms and conditions.
