We take online security very seriously. That's why we've introducing a new step when you book your coach tickets or coachcards online.

It's called 3-D Secure (also known as MasterCard SecureCode or Verified by Visa) and it's is a new payment verification system being introduced by all major credit card companies for extra security when booking online. It's easy to register and has already reduced fraud considerably.

It works on the same principle as chip and pin. If your card issuer is part of the scheme, you will be passed to a page on your card issuer's website to create a password that only you and your card issuer know. Then, whenever you make purchases online, you'll be asked to enter your password during the booking.

This is a one-off process, so once you've registered, your password can be used to make much safer online purchases with loads of other internet retailers too.
