With many of the original 1918 buildings and still operating as an airfield, today the Imperial War Museum Duxford is Europe's premier aviation museum.

Hosting a unique collection of over 200 civil and military aircraft including the legendary Spitfire, Concorde and SR-71 Blackbird spy plane, the museum also boasts state of the art exhibitions such as the American Air Museum, the Land Warfare Hall and the newly opened AirSpace, which won best education project at the 2008 National Lottery Awards.

In 2008 the Museum welcomed 450,000 visitors and was voted Enjoy England's best large attraction of the year.
