Brighton Introduction

Brighton

Introduction | Coach Station  |  Lifestyle  |  Sightseeing

There's never been a better time for coach travel to Brighton. One of Britain's favourite holiday destinations for almost 200 years, the town remains perennially popular, and thousands of people take the coach to Brighton every week, looking forward to basking on the beachfront, dawdling on the Downs, pottering on the pier, sashaying round the shops, or making the most of the town's rocking nightlife.

Eight million visitors a year can't be wrong, and Brighton coach travel is the best way to enjoy this little South Coast gem over and over again. Take a coach to Brighton and drink in the exotic splendour of the famous Brighton Pavilion, a former royal palace near the seafront, then admire the ghostly outline of the West Pier, which was one of only two Grade 1 listed piers in the UK before it tragically burned down in 2003.

Further along the shingle beach you'll find numerous bars, restaurants, nightclubs and amusement arcades, and discover why so many families, school trips, hen and stag nights, students and shoppers choose coach travel to Brighton ? because there's never a dull moment!

If your interests are more specialised, then worry not ? Brighton will have something to keep you entertained. The town hosts a varied and extensive art community - take a coach to Brighton and browse round the galleries, visit artists' studios, or even buy an original artwork to take home. The town is also known as the "gay capital of Britain", and boasts large numbers of gay shops, bars and nightclubs, as well as the popular Gay Pride celebrations in August, which attracts thousands.

For the more adventurous types, there?s the chance to go swimming or sailing ? or, if you really want to whiten your knuckles, you can launch yourself down a hill on a bike, a mountain board or inside a large plastic orb. Or jump on a coach to Brighton and then wander off into the glorious Sussex countryside. Brighton backs onto the beautiful South Downs, which were recently awarded National Park status, and coach travel to Brighton means you can explore them to your heart?s content.

And as if all this weren't enough to tempt you onto a coach to Brighton, every year the town plays host to several major festivals, including The Great Escape and Soundwaves, and the Brighton Festival, which is the largest arts festival in the UK (after Edinburgh's), and features theatre, music and visual arts of all kinds, along with parades and fireworks, and the second largest fringe festival in the world.

So whether it's for a weekend break, a summer holiday, a day on the beach, or just a night out, coach travel to Brighton means that you too get to fall in love with this charming, quirky, unique destination, and regular coaches to Brighton will take you back there again and again.
