World Press Photo Exhibition, Royal Festival Hall, London
Some of the finest photojournalism of the last twelve months is currently on show at the Royal Festival Hall.
The World Press Photo Exhibition showcases over 200 award winning photos, which have been whittled down from an initial pool of entries of 78,000.
Among the subjects covered this year are the recent World Cup in Germany, the war in Iraq, a Ms Senior Sweetheart Pageant in the US and Parisian street dancers.
Entry to the exhibition - which runs until September 9th and is the leading competition of its kind - is free.

Opened in 1951 as part of the Festival of Britain, the Royal Festival Hall was recently the subject of an extensive refurbishment and restoration programme.
As well as hosting free events, the venue also stages concerts, with forthcoming gigs including Regina Spektor, Brian Wilson and Yo La Tengo.
