Leading London department store Selfridges has opened a brand new department selling high-end pieces from all over the world.

Dubbed the Wonder Room, the department aims to offer a luxury shopping experience, with the specially designed room also incorporating a bar, where visitors will be able to buy a sip of Petrus champagne and a juke box.

Among the unique items on sale are a first-edition of Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar, which is displayed in a - you guessed it - Bell Jar, and a one-off necklace from H Stern.

Meanwhile, other products available to buy include bicycles by Paul Smith, collectible figurines from Japan, coffee table books from fashion photographer Juergen Teller and architect Zaha Hadid and candlesticks shaped like dolls' heads from Qubus.
