What's on guide
The Sex Pistols, MEN Arena, Manchester
The most famous - and indeed infamous - of Britain's punk bands, The Sex Pistols, return to Manchester this week for their first gig in the city for 30 years.
Immortalised in the movie 24-Hour Party People, the band's 1977 date at the Manchester Free Trade Hall is regarded as one of the most influential concerts of all time, with attendees including a nascent Joy Division, soon-to-be Smiths vocalist Morrissey and Factory Records-founder Tony Wilson - all of whom have cited the concert as an inspiration in their own musical endeavours.
The Sex Pistols' short career saw them score hits with the insurrectionary God Save the Queen, Pretty Vacant and Holidays in the Sun.
Taking place November 17th, the gig unites the Sex Pistols' original line-up of Johnny Rotten, Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock.
Address: MEN Arena, Hunt's Bank, Manchester, M3 1AR.
Other forthcoming attractions at the MEN Arena include appearances from rapper 50 Cent, nu-metal band Linkin Park and bombastic rocker Meat Loaf.
