The Changeling, Theatre Royal Brighton
English Touring Theatre's new production of Middleton and Rowley's The Changeling comes to Brighton in November for a series of performances at the Theatre Royal.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest plays in the English language, the show tells the story of Beatrice Joanna, who plans to marry Alsmero against the wishes of her father.
When she tires of her groom, she asks her servant Deflores to kill him, which he does but demands sex in return.
What follows is even more shocking, with Beatrice Joanna's descending into lunacy, lust and death.
The Changeling was written in 1622 and runs in Brighton from November 13th-17th.
Address: Theatre Royal Brighton, New Road Brighton BN1 1SD.
