T-Mobile Street Ice Event, Centenary Square, Birmingham

The largest temporary ice rink in the UK is coming to Birmingham later this month for the return of the T-Mobile Street Ice Event.

Alongside the rink a special jukebox linked to a booming soundsystem will be available, with all visitors who obligingly get their skate dance-on to the music being rewarded with a free photo of their performance.

Food stalls and bars will be on hand to provide famished skaters with refreshments, while DJs from local radio station 96.4 brmb will be acting as comperes.

The T-Mobile Street Ice event takes place from November 29th to January 13th.

Other festive events taking place in Birmingham over Christmas include the Frankfurt market, which organisers claim is the largest German market outside Germany and Austria, and Slava's Snowshow - a one-of-a-kind theatrical show which employs stunning visual effects to recreate the effect of a blizzard.
