Spooky Halloween, Lower Gardens, Bournemouth

Bournemouth's award-winning Lower Gardens will play host to a coven of junior witches, wizards and sundry other creatures of the night later this month for the city's Spooky Halloween event.

Throughout the day and evening, the organisers will be staging numerous Halloween themed competitions, with prizes on offer for the best costume and for the most expertly carved pumpkin.

For younger children there will also be the chance to have their face painted as the ghoul of their choice as well as the opportunity to participate in colouring competitions and a special Halloween trail through the gardens.

Meanwhile, a haunted funfair will run from 10am to 10pm, as the night approaches the witching hour.

The event is free-to-attend and takes place October 27th.
