Rock the Bells Festival, Carling Academy, Birmingham
Some of the biggest names in hip-hop will be in Birmingham on November 6th for the Rock the Bells Festival.
Artists such as Nas, Mos Def and De La Soul will be in attendance while there will be a reunion of the Pharcyde, with all four original members coming together again.
The event will feature exclusive performances for Europe from Nas, while beat box legend Scratch, formerly of the Roots, will be on hand to wow crowds with the dexterity of his voice.
Chang Weisberg, the show's organiser, said he is pleased the festival will take place outside the US for the first time.
"We are thrilled that Rock the Bells is launching its inaugural series of festivals in Europe. It is the first American hip hop platform to do so," he stated.
Nas burst onto the scene in 1994 with his debut album Illmatic, which is considered to be one of the classic hip hop albums.
Mos Def is perhaps best known for his smash hit Ms Fat Booty, a tale of a man who is seduced by a woman and falls in love with her only for her to reject him.
