Papa Roach, O2 Academy, Birmingham
Whatever you were up to at the turn of the millennium, chances are that you remember the onslaught of the US alternative-metal bands flooding the UK charts.
Papa Roach, who proved popular in the UK alongside the likes of Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit, are set to roll back the years with a live show in Birmingham to accompany the release of their forthcoming studio album Metamorphosis.
The California-based outfit will play at the O2 Academy on Saturday April 18th after appearing at Manchester's Academy and London's HMV Forum on the previous two nights.
On Metamorphosis, which will be the band's fifth studio album and in a recent interview reported by Blabbermouth.net, guitarist Jerry Horton said: "I think that the new album is our rock record of the decade."
Infest in 2000 is likely to be the album most people currently recognise Papa Roach by, as this record featured the hit singles Last Resort and Between Angels and Insects.
