Origin craft fair, Somerset House, London
The spectacular courtyard of London's Somerset House - usually the scene of open air concerts and an outdoors ice rink at Christmas - will be given over to the Origin craft fair this October.
Organised by the Crafts Council, the event will showcase the work of 300 established designers with prices ranging from £20 to £20,000.
Among the exhibitors are Sixixs, a Cornwall-based trio, who specialise in bending oak and ash into furniture - and Laura Marsden, who will be showing textiles made from recycled carrier bags.
Origin runs from October 2nd to 14th, apart from October 8th, when the doors will be closed to allow the organisers to introduce a completely new set of exhibitors for the second week.
Address: Origin, Somerset House, The Strand, London, WC2R 0RN.
