London Disability Rights Festival

Trafalgar Square will host a celebration of the talents and contribution of people with disabilities this September, as one of London's most famous spaces is given over to the London Disability Rights Festival.

The festival features seven different zones each with their own unique programme of events, including comedy, music and dance performances.

Sure to be a highlight is a revamped version of Priscilla Queen of the Deaf World - a sign language song and dance extravaganza, which was one of the hits of last year's event.

Meanwhile, the Music and Dance Zone will feature a show from Xtreme Link, a collective of young rappers with learning disabilities, while Slam!, a 30-minute live comedy show, will be performed throughout the day on the Comedy and Cabaret Zone.

There will also be a number of interactive workshops for children, enabling them to develop circus skills and learn about puppet and mask-making.

The event is free to attend and takes place between 1:00pm and 18:00 BST on September 1st.

Address: Trafalgar Square, WC2 5DS.
