Jamie T, O2 Academy, Birmingham

London-based singer-songwriter Jamie T will be performing in Birmingham after taking a short break in his career.

The 23-year-old indie rocker, who won Best Solo Artist at the 2007 Shockwave NME Awards, will be playing at the city's O2 Academy on October 3rd 2009.

His performance will come less than a month after the release of his second album Kings and Queens on September 7th.

The highly anticipated record follows his debut release Panic Prevention, which reached number four on the UK album chart.

NME recently announced that the singer will be releasing a new EP on August 31st 2009 containing four songs.

He told the publication that he wanted to release three or four EP's throughout the year.

Jamie will also be sure to play the tracks from the record alongside material from his latest album, including his most recent release Sticks 'N' Stones.

He will also perform the popular tracks Sheila, If You Got The Money and Calm Down Dearest.
