What's on guide
International Halloween Festival, London
Dusty academia and rational empiricism give way to our superstitious pagan past at Queen Mary College later this month for the International Halloween Festival.
Now in its eleventh year, the two-day festival is a fiesta of the weird and macabre, featuring Magick workshops, free lectures about paganism, a craft market and a specially staged Halloween ritual.
Sure to be the highlight however is the Morris dancing performed by the Wild Hunt, Wolfs Head and the Vixen Morris dancers, who clad in Wicker Man-style animal hair masks will exhibit the darker side of one of our oldest traditions.
Visitors will also be able to check out live rock and folk music and sample a host of real ales.
The event runs October 20th and 21st.
Address: International Halloween Festival, Queen Mary College, Mile End Rd, London E1 4NS.
