What's on guide
George Clinton, The Arches, Glasgow
George Clinton brings his brand of atomic funk to Glasgow next month for an appearance at The Arches.
Clinton emerged in the 1960s as figurehead of psychedelic funk collective Funkadelic and later went on to head up splinter band Parliament.
However, he is perhaps best known for the disco hit One Nation Under a Groove and for his influence on the 1990s Hip-Hop sub-genre G-Funk, with super-producer Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg extensively sampling his work for their records.
George Clinton with Funk Brother Jack Ashford and his Funk Brother band plays The Arches on November 4th.
Address: The Arches, 253 Argyle St, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.
Other attractions at The Arches in November include shows from former Dead Kennedy's frontman Jello Biafra and Brazilian baile funk outfit Bonde De Role.
