Festival of the Tree, Westonbirt, nr Bristol
Sculptors with chainsaws will be transforming trees into works of art all this week as part of the Festival of the Tree at Westonbirt, near Bristol.
The 12 international carving artists form the centrepiece of the event, which also includes exhibitions of more than 150 woodcrafts.
Meanwhile, the Family-tree events, which include the William Woodworm Trail, ensures that any children in tow will be kept occupied by fun and educational activities.
Events run from 10:00 until 17:00 BST daily with adult tickets priced between £5.50 and £7.50.

The Arboretum claims to have 18,000 rare trees and shrubs in its 600 acre grounds, and holds themed shows throughout the year including the forthcoming Night Flyers and Enchanted Christmas events.
