Elton John, NIA, Birmingham
Elton John's stage show The Red Piano will be performed at the National Indoor Arena (NIA) in Birmingham on November 19th.
According to Whatsonwhen, The Red Piano features a large number of visuals and sets and includes "spectacular inflatables".
The Guardian's review of the show claims "the set list is bullet-proofed with hits" and "all about excess", describing its final sequence as containing "vast inflatable lipsticks, bananas, priapic hotdogs and inverted ice-cream cones".
In 2007, the show's Grammy-winning star released a CD of definitive hits called Rocket Man which brings his total number of albums to 32.
He has also released 90 singles, including Candle in the Wind whose re-release in 1997 was the biggest selling single of all time and was bought 33 million times.
Elton has also composed Broadway musical The Lion King and Billy Elliot the Musical.
The Red Piano tour will also be made available in the UK on DVD from November 3rd.
