Dive, NEC, Birmingham

The Dive Show 2008 will take place at the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre (NEC) on November 1st and 2nd with something on offer for everyone from seasoned divers to absolute beginners.

According to whatsonwhen, the event will give visitors a chance to "see what's hot, what's new and where to go for the best diving in the coming season".

Representatives from more than 50 countries will be on hand to help attendees inspect the latest kit and leisurewear and decide which is most suitable for their needs.

Budding underwater photographers can take advantage of the Digital Clinic which will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, the official website claims.

There will also be marine life, wreck and cave diving experts present, showing images and sharing news on the extreme activities in which they take part.

High-profile speakers at past events have included Tanya Streeter, the record-breaking freediver, and diving environmentalist Jean-Michel Cousteau.
