What's on guide
Cinderella, Old Vic Theatre, London
Stephen Fry's retelling of the classic fairytale Cinderella will begin a short run in London later this month for pantomime season.
Along with the traditional elements of the time-honoured tale such as envy, ugly sisters and courtly romance, this quirky re-imagining of the story also features ice cream, cross-dressing and "so much cake you won't believe" to provide a thoroughly modern twist.
The cast includes Eastenders and Are You Being Served-star Wendy Craig, Radio 4 stalwart Sandi Toksvig as well as up-and-coming talents Debbie Chazen, Oliver Chopping and Paul Keating.
The show runs at the Old Vic from December 9th to January 4th.
Address: Old Vic Theatre, The Cut, Waterloo Road, London, SE1 8NB.
Other pantomimes showing in London over the Christmas period include Dick Whittington at the Hackney Empire and Jack and the Beanstalk at the Barbican.
