British Ski and Board Show, NEC, Birmingham

Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre (NEC) hosts the annual British Ski and Board Show for adrenaline-activity buffs from October 31st to November 2nd.

The venue describes the event as "the best winter sports show in the UK", with a range of new features, hands-on participation and an extensive exhibition of products, equipment and information for everything you need to know.

Highlights to look out for include the Big Air Freestyle show where Olympic gold medallists and World Cup champions perform twists, spins and jumps, a practice slope for enthusiasts to get some top tips from Austrian and French ski and board experts as well as a range of talks and seminars.

The Mirror recently advised anyone unsure of where to go on a family break skiing with experienced and novice members that "it's worth visiting the British Ski and Board Show" to pick up valuable advice.

Exhibitors include Courchevel Ski Resort, Atomic UK, Burton Snowboard Shack, Mountain Heaven Ltd and The New Hampshire Ski Group USA.
