Aviva Grand Prix, Birmingham National Indoor Arena, Birmingham
Some of international athletics' top stars will be heading to Birmingham late next month to compete in the Aviva Grand Prix at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena.
Taking place on February 21st, tickets for the event are sure to sell fast as Britain's leading athletics compete in the international athletics meeting.
Guests will almost feel on top of the athletes because of the smaller, 200m track used on the indoor circuit.
Christina Ohuruogu, who won Britain's only track and field gold medal at the Beijing Olympics last year, in the women's 400m, is expected to be competing.
UK Athletics recently revealed that six reigning world or Olympic medallists will be heading to the Birmingham arena, including Olympic high hurdles silver medallist David Payne and 60m world indoor specialist Kim Collins.
An audience of about 8,000 people is expected to watch the athletes in action.
Ian Stewart, meeting director for the event, said: "To have so many medallists from the recent major championships signed up already is hugely exciting for the meeting. It's always a superb show, but I've got a feeling 2009 is going to be even better."
National Express offers comfortable and cost-effective travel options for those looking to attend athletics events around the country.
