Another Rock and Roller Christmas, Carling Academy Birmingham, Birmingham

Indie music fans are set to celebrate Christmas at an event in Birmingham next month.

The Carling Academy will host the Another Rock and Roller Christmas bash, which is being thrown by Ramshackle on December 19th.

Claiming to be the "UK's biggest indie rock 'n' roll party", Ramshackle features the talents of residents DJ Dan, Dave Remix, Geck, Dan Mellins and Matt Noir and will celebrate the festive period by having revellers listen to the latest sounds while enjoying themselves on rollerskates.

Exact details of the event seem to be under wraps, but previous parties by the group have seen special guest DJ sets from artists such as The Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, The Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party and Snow Patrol.

With a capacity of 2,700, Carling Academy Birmingham opened in 2000 and was named the best concert venue and best club by the city's Evening Mail in 2005.

Those who are looking for a party ahead of Christmas will find acts such as New Found Glory, The Zutons and Pendulum playing the venue over coming weeks.
