Andrea Bocelli, NIA, Birmingham
The world's best-selling tenor singer is heading to Birmingham on Sunday September 27th to wow the crowds with one of the finest voices of all time.
Andrea Bocelli, who has sold over 65 million albums around the world, is due to perform at the National Indoor Arena, with tickets available from £45 to £120.
Emerging as a true vocal phenomenon in the early 1990s, Bocelli has gone on to be one of the most popular tenor singers of all time, coming a long way from his birth on a farm in Tuscany in 1958.
Capable of singing in a number of languages, the tenor has recorded seven complete operas and has performed in the classic, operatic and popular music fields.
The show's organisers claim: "A refined and modern singer, whose use of his voice combines the unmistakable power of the heroic tone with the youthful fragrance of a graceful tenor and fortified by an unusually polished timbre, Bocelli can sing anything from Verdi to Puccini, from Mascagni to Massenet."
Bocelli was recently confirmed to be recording a cover of Jingle Bells with The Muppets, a track which will appear on his Christmas-themed album due in November.
