A Grand Night Out with Aardman, Bristol Zoo

Fans of Aardman's animated films will have the chance to see a sneak preview of the studio's new short film The Pearce Sisters as part of a night devoted to the local company's work.

Taking place at Bristol Zoo, a giant cinema screen will be erected to show a mix of Aardman's classic Wallace and Gromit features, as well as unseen footage that was cut from the original films and TV specials.

Wallace and Gromit will be there in person, as will animators from the studio who will be running plasticine workshops and passing on some of their expertise. Meanwhile, the PicKnit challenge, in which attendees will be tasked with knotting a life-sized picnic, offers further chances to get interactive.

Funds raised by the event will go to the Wallace and Gromit Children's Foundation and the Zoo's Mad for Madagascar conservation campaign.
