Our work together

Since the start of our partnership with the Scouts in 2014, National Express has enabled young people to access adventure across the UK and Europe, by helping Scout leaders plan activity with discounted tickets and private hire.

2015 saw Scout groups travelling to Heathrow Airport for the 23rd World Scout Jamboree on National Express Services and the special Scouts liveried coach took part in the London Pride Parade that year also. Eager to assist young people gain the skills for independent travel, the 'Cub Passport' was created in 2016. This pocket-sized booklet has fun timetable, reading and geography-based exercises that can completed on the move.

National Express are currently working with the Scouts on some exciting transport opportunities for Scout members and hope to see those plans go live in the near future.

What do volunteers do?

The Scouts' everyday adventure is possible thanks to our adult volunteers, who support in a wide range of roles from working directly with young people, to helping manage a Group or to being a charity Trustee.

We help volunteers get the most out of their experiences at Scouts by providing opportunities for adventure, training, fun and friendship.

About the Scouts

The Scouts change lives by offering 6-25 year olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others, so that they make a positive impact in communities.

Scouts helps children and young adults reach their full potential and develop skills, including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment.
