With Christmas coming ever closer, the festive season is a great time to get together for a trip to the theatre for a pantomime. We have put together a guide of 10 of the best UK Christmas Pantomimes for 2018 to help you decide which pantomime is best for you.

Snow White at the London Palladium (London)

The capital of the UK brings Snow White onto the London Palladium stage. A beautiful girl named Snow White refuges in a house with seven dwarves in the forest to protect herself from her stepmother, the evil Queen.

An all-star cast, consisting of The Vicar of Dibley’s Dawn French, comedian Julian Clary and actor Nigel Havers are sure to give families plenty of entertainment with this classic fairytale.

Peter Pan at Birmingham Hippodrome (Birmingham)

Birmingham brings the tale of a boy that would not grow up and his adventures in Neverland with Tinkerbell and Captain Hook all the way to the Birmingham Hippodrome.

The main stars, Jimmy Osmond of “The Osmonds” and Goodness Gracious Me’s Meera Syal will be entertaining families across Christmas in Birmingham with Peter Pan.

Cinderella – Bristol Hippodrome (Bristol)

What’s a royal ball you’re wondering? Cinderella invites Bristol families to a royal ball at the Bristol Hippodrome as she escapes from her spiteful stepmother to marry the Prince.

Comedian Brian Conley and TV presenter and fashion consultant Gok Wan star in the popular fairytale where families can enjoy their Christmas with Cinderella!

Cinderella – Manchester Opera House (Manchester)

The royal ball comes to life in North West England as Manchester welcomes Cinderella to the Manchester Opera House.

Coronation Street’s Conor McIntyre and Les Dennis join the first Pop Idol runner-up Gareth Gates as they make Cinderella’s wishes come true to Manchester families!

Aladdin – The Alhambra Theatre Bradford (Leeds)

Everyone’s favourite street urchin comes to Leeds at the Alhambra Theatre, bringing lamps, genies and granted wishes.

Blue’s Simon Webbe, actor and TV presenter Christopher Biggins and local comedian Billy Pearce form part of the main cast who will bring Aladdin to life.

Dates: 8th December 2018 – 20th January 2019

Beauty & The Beast – King’s Theatre (Edinburgh)

The tale of a prince that turns into a beast for the rest of his life unless he learns to fall in love and be loved by a beautiful young woman comes to Edinburgh at the King’s Theatre.

Comedian Allan Stewart and DJ Grant Stott of BBC Radio Scotland head the cast as the audience finds out whether Belle and the Beast live happily ever after.

Dates: 1st December 2018 – 20th January 2019

Jack & The Beanstalk – Liverpool Empire (Liverpool)

Liverpool welcomes Jack, giant beanstalks, giant humans and magic beans to the Liverpool Empire for this classic English fairytale.

Leading the main cast is Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas and local comedian John Evans will be telling the story of Jack & The Beanstalk to an audience of families.

Dates: 14th December 2018 – 6th January 2019

Dick Whittington – Southampton Mayflower (Southampton)

“It’s Behind You!” One of the most popular family pantomimes in the UK is coming to Southampton Mayflower with Dick Whittington.

Representing the cast is none other than ex-Eastender and comedian Bobby Davro, 2009 X Factor winner Joe McElderry and Phil Mitchell himself, Steve McFadden who will bring Dick Whittington to excited families.

Dates: 15th December 2018 – 6th January 2019

Beauty & The Beast – New Theatre (Cardiff)

Belle and the Beast bring Beauty & The Beast to the New Theatre in Cardiff.

Ex-Wales rugby union and rugby league legend Gareth Thomas and Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley are just a few of the stars in the cast which tell families the story of a man that turns into a monster while learning to find love and be loved.

Dates: 8th December 2018 – 13th January 2018

Peter Pan at Theatre Royal Nottingham (Nottingham)

The fictional world of Neverland comes to the East Midlands as Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and Captain Hook arrive at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham.

Only Fools and Horses’ John Challis (Boycie) and comedian Joe Pasquale join the main cast for this popular pantomime of the boy that never grows up.

Dates: 8th December 2018 – 13th January 2019
