Joyous Symphony, Handsworth Wood Girls' School, Birmingham

Joyous Symphony, one of the country's best-known contemporary gospel groups, will be performing in Birmingham later this month.

The group will be performing a mix of uplifting seasonal standards, European hymns - including a reworked version of Abide With Me - and-old time spirituals, such as Oh Happy Day.

Since coming together in 2002, the group have been the recipients of much acclaim, have played the prestigious Birmingham Symphony Hall and were featured on Nikki Tapper's BBC radio show.

Joyous Symphony's concert takes place on December 22nd at Handsworth Church where they are based.
