Guided tours, Russell Cotes Museum, Bournemouth
Visitors to the Russell Cotes Museum this May can look to take advantage of a guided tour of the venue, which will be conducted on various dates throughout the month.
The tours, which last around 45 minutes, offer visitors a fascinating insight into the house and the lives of Sir Merton and Annie Russell-Cotes.
In addition, there are a number of resident exhibitions on display, including paintings of Edwin Longsden Long and Well Hammered: The Art of Japanese Metal Work.
Tickets for the guided tours are available on a £3 donation basis, with under-16s allowed free admission.
Private tours are also usually available for those wanting to explore the house in a slightly more intimate setting.
Located just two minutes from Bournemouth Pier, seaside visitors may well wish to pay the museum a visit.
National Express operates a regular coach service to and from Bournemouth, with savings to be made on advanced bookings.
