What's on guide
Glengarry Glen Ross, Apollo Theatre, London
A new production of David Mamet's classic tale of bribery, intimidation and deception Glengarry Glen Ross is currently showing in London.
Subsequently turned into an acclaimed Hollywood film starring Alec Baldwin and Al Pacino, the play tells the tale of four hardboiled Chicagoans operating in the cold, hard world of real estate sales and the games and chicanery they resort to in order to keep their jobs.
Upon its initial release the hard-hitting play was garlanded with praise from critics and received a Pulitzer and Tony Award, while Al Pacino's performance in the movie adaptation saw him pick up an Oscar nomination.
The new production's cast includes Jonathan Pryce, who starred as Bond villain Elliot Carver in Tomorrow Never Dies and Aidan Gillen who appeared in the lauded American series The Wire and Queer as Folk.
Glengarry Glen Ross runs until January 12th at the Apollo Theatre.
Address: Apollo Theatre, 31 Shaftesbury Avenue, W1D 6NA.
