Cats, Birmingham Hippodrome
Andrew Lloyd Webber's much-loved musical Cats comes to Birmingham's Hippodrome for four weeks this month, some 25 years after it first premiered on the London stage.
Perhaps most famous for spawning a hit soundtrack featuring Elaine Paige's haunting Memor y , it's less well known that the show was based on T.S Eliot's set of children's poems Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats - a tale it spectacularly reinterprets through stunning costumes and set design.
Weekday performances are evenings only from Tuesday to Thursday at 19:30 BST, while weekends add a matinee performance at 14.30 BST.
Tickets are priced between £16.50 and £35. The show runs from August 14th to September 8th.
