Loved band Madness will be bringing their unique style of music to De Montfort Hall in Leicester on Saturday December 4th 2010 at 14:30 and 19:00 GMT.
Fans of the group will surely want to try to grab some tickets for this event, which is set to include a range of hits from their 30-year collection, including Baggy Trousers, My Girl and House Of Fun all in one live performance.
Past gigs from Madness have been well-received by a range of reviewers, with Stephen Dalton writing in the Times after a show in London: "Both band and crowd may have been slow to warm up, but by the final half hour their joint momentum was unstoppable."
The group found their roots back in 1976 with a band called the Invaders, which featured members Mike Barson, Chris Foreman, and Lee Thompson, before including Graham "Suggs" McPherson, Mark Bedford, Chas Smash, and Dan Woodgate and changing their name to Morris and the Minors in 1978.
With the original group members established, it was only a matter of time before the sounds associated with Madness would be heard. This happened in 1979, when the famous name was announced for the band and music history would be set in stone for the 1980s and beyond.
