Drury Lane, London WC2
The first full production in the building was actually The Unknown Soldier and his Wife in 1973; however Drury Lane has seen entertainment here since the Elizabethan Times. Since then it has seen productions of Grease starring Richard Gere, Shelia Hancock in Deja Revue and a one man show from Bruce Forsyth. Drury Lane has even seen Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Cats run for a staggering 21 years, having debuted in 1981.
Argyll Street, London W11
The London Palladium which was opened on Boxing Day 1910, so why not travel by coach to London this year and celebrate the 100th birthday. The Palladium is also the famous venue of the television show 'Ace Variety Theatre of the World', hosting more Royal Variety Performances than any other venue. Adelphi Theatre, Strand, London, WC2R 0NS
The art deco interiors have been reconstructed over the years, but the current building was opened to the public in 1930, with further restoration work being carried out in 1993 to bring the front-of-house area to be brought back to the delights of the original extravagance. This was the same year that Andrew Lloyd Webber became co-owner.
